BAT - A- THON 2012

The 2012 BAT - A - Thon was a huge success. Pete Davey and Ron Tuck did an amazing job of putting this event together. I am pleased to announce that we have raised just over $12,000 so far. We will be meeting Saturday morning to determine the winners. All winners will be posted on the website by Sunday evening. All winners will be notified by May 13th to claim their prize.

2012 RMMBA BAT-A-THON This year RMMBA is pleased to introduce our inaugural BAT-A-THON. In an effort to off set increasing costs we are planning to make this an annual event. As you are probably aware most minor Sports Associations in our community have been forced to add a significant increase to their registration fees. RMMBA is extremely proud to have the distinction of being one of the most affordable organizations in community sports. Again this year, RMMBA was able to offer our pre season skills development camp to all players free of charge. We as an organization, feel it is important that all players get this opportunity. It is our belief that our pre-season development sessions allow the players to improve their skills and ultimately to increase their self confidence while affording them the opportunity to have fun. As we move forward, RMMBA is being faced with ever increasing costs. We are trying to raise funds to enable us to minimize the increase we will have to apply to registration fees. The BAT-A-THON is being introduced as what we hope will be a very successful fund raiser to help us achieve this goal. It is our hope that as well as being a fund raiser it will be a fun filled experience for the players and their families. Offering them not only the opportunity to display their talents but also providing a chance to win some great prizes supplied by local businesses. We are asking for your support in helping to make the BAT-A-THON a huge success to enable us to keep registration fee increases to a minimum. It is our hope that all children within the RMMBA community will be able to continue having fun playing baseball, while developing lifelong skills.

Umpire Clinic at Ridge Meadows

Welcome all aspiring umpires and current crew members.

Ridge Meadows will be hosting a clinic for Umpires. Clinic will be held at the Maple Ridge Alliance Church in there new gymnasium on March 24, 2012. Clinic Starts at 8:30 A.M. Sign in starts at 8:00 A.M. Location is at Maple Ridge Alliance Church on Dewdney Trunk Rd.

The clinic will be for Level 1&2 umpires.

Level 1 Clinic costs $25 and is for all those16 years and younger with two years or less umpire experience. Level 2 can be taken if Level 1 has been completed in a previous year. There will also be an additional $20 fee paid upon arrival at the gymnasium to cover facility costs. Level 1 clinic will run for 6 hours.

Please pack a lunch.

Level 2 Clinic costs $50 dollars and is for all those 16 or older with no umpire experience or level 1 clinic completed. There will be an additional $20 fee paid upon arrival at the gymnasium to cover facility costs. Level 2 clinic will run for 7.5 hours.

Please pack a lunch.

Pre registration for the clinics is mandatory complete with payment.
